Champions League Matchday 5 betting tips – Thursday, Nov 30
After eight UEFA Champions League matches on Wednesday, Matchday 5 continues with eight more games on Thursday (AEDT). The likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester United will be in action, and we have free UCL betting picks for their games and more.
Galatasaray vs Manchester United
4:45am AEDT – RAMS Park
Manchester United have had an awful Champions League run and sit last in Group A, while Galatasaray are third. While this looks to be a tough contest for the Red Devils, domestic form suggests they can get the job done in Istanbul. In the English Premier League, they have won three straight and haven’t conceded in any of those games. Back United to continue their good form and take care of the Turkish side in this must-win contest.
Manchester United to win
Arsenal vs RC Lens
7am AEDT – Emirates Stadium
Although Arsenal lost to Lens in their first UCL meeting, they dominated possession and simply couldn’t find the end product. In this game, they will once again control the pace, which should give Bukayo Saka plenty of chances to find a goal. The Arsenal winger has two goals through four Champions League games, and while he hasn’t been scoring a bunch in the EPL, top soccer betting sites are giving us a great price of +150 for Saka to hit the back of the net.
Bukayo Saka anytime goalscorer
Real Madrid vs Napoli
7am AEDT – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
Real Madrid lead Group C with 12 points, while Napoli are in second with seven points. If Real get any points, they will clinch the group — and they have been borderline unbeatable of late. The Spanish giants have comfortably won each UCL contest and also lead La Liga with 35 points through 14 matches. While Napoli are solid, Real Madrid are playing at a level few teams can match, and they should clinch Group C with a win here.
Real Madrid to win
Real Sociedad vs FC Salzburg
7am AEDT – Reale Arena
Real Sociedad have been one of the surprises of the UCL and lead Group D with 10 points. A lot of their success can be attributed to their defence, as they have only conceded twice in four games. Salzburg have only been able to muster three UCL goals, and they lost 2-0 at home in the reverse fixture. As such, Sociedad look poised to win a big home game and give themselves a great chance to finish top of the group.
