Caulfield Cup runner under injury cloud

New Zealand Derby winner Crown Prosecutor will have to be re-examined on the eve of the Caulfield Cup as Neufbosc prepares for a float trip for a Racing Victoria veterinarian inspection.

RV reported the Stephen Marsh-trained Crown Prosecutor is lame in his right foreleg and will come under further scrutiny on Friday.

Vets completed inspections on Thursday on the 18 horses in the field for Saturday’s 2400m race as well as three of the four emergencies.
