Capacity field for G1 Rupert Clarke Stakes
A capacity field of 15 plus four emergencies has been declared for the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes which will have an international presence with last-start Dubai Group One winner Jungle Cat to make his first Australian appearance.
The Charlie Appleby-trained, Godolphin-owned, Jungle Cat is topweight with 58kg and has barrier seven for Saturday’s 1400m Group One handicap at Caulfield with James Doyle flying in to take the ride.
Australian-based Godolphin sprinters Home Of The Brave and Osborne Bulls, both trained by James Cummings, have drawn barriers 10 and eight respectively.
Last-start stakes winner Land Of Plenty has drawn 15, one outside of his Darren Weir-trained stablemate Peaceful State (14) while last year’s runner-up Mr Sneaky has also drawn wide in 17.
