Bundesliga betting preview, free tips & top odds | Matchday 27
Returning from the international break, the Bundesliga is back this weekend with nine matches including a heavyweight clash between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. Below are our free Bundesliga betting tips for Matchday 27.
Bayer Leverkusen vs TSG Hoffenheim
Sunday, March 31 – 1:30am AEDT – BayArena
Undefeated with eight games to go, Bayer Leverkusen are closing in on their first Bundesliga title. Welcoming the eighth-placed TSG Hoffenheim, expect Leverkusen to extend their 10-point gap at the top as strong favourites with the best soccer betting sites. With little value in the head-to-head markets, expect the home side to maintain their excellent home record with another clean sheet.
Bayer Leverkusen to win to nil
Borussia Monchengladbach vs SC Freiburg
Sunday, March 31 – 1:30am AEDT – BORUSSIA-PARK
With just one win from their past nine matches, the 12th-placed Borussia Monchengladbach are in the midst of an incredibly disappointing season. Hosting the ninth-placed SC Freiburg, expect an exciting mid-table clash between two of the worst defensive sides in the Bundesliga. The reverse fixture ended 3-3 back in November, and with ‘Gladbach holding the most draws in the league, it should be another close match.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Union Berlin
Sunday, March 31 – 1:30am AEDT – Deutsche Bank Park
Needing to secure points as a handful of clubs fight for European positions, the sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt welcome the 13th-placed Union Berlin. Entering as favourites with online bookmakers, Frankfurt are unbeaten in their past six home matches, whereas Union Berlin have managed only two wins on the road all season.
Eintracht Frankfurt to win
RB Leipzig vs FSV Mainz
Sunday, March 31 – 1:30am AEDT – Red Bull Arena
After scoring 11 goals in their past three matches, RB Leipzig have looked strong as they chase down a top-four spot. While they are favoured to beat the 16th-placed FSV Mainz, Leipzig will need to be wary after winning just one of the past six matches between the sides. However, Mainz have the second-worst attack in the Bundesliga, while Leipzig have kept a clean sheet in their past three home matches.
RB Leipzig to win to nil
Werder Bremen vs Wolfsburg
Sunday, March 31 – 1:30am AEDT – wohninvest WESERSTADION
Out of form and tumbling down the table, Wolfsburg have now gone 11 matches without a win. Werder Bremen are similarly out of form, going winless in their last four games as a result of an extensive injury list. The visitors are unlikely favourites for this clash, but given their poor form, total goals is the safer bet as each of the past five clashes has gone over the 2.5 line.
Over 2.5 goals
Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund
Sunday, March 31 – 4:30am AEDT – Allianz Arena
Unbeaten in the past 11 matches between these sides, Bayern Munich enter this clash in excellent form after netting 13 goals in their past two outings. While Borussia Dortmund are on a three-match winning run, Bayern at home are a different quality. The one to watch for the Bavarian giants is young winger Jamal Musiala, who is on a run of four goals in his past four games.
Jamal Musiala anytime goalscorer
FC Augsburg vs FC Koln
Monday, April 1 – 12:30am AEDT – WWK Arena
On a four-match winning streak, FC Augsburg have an excellent opportunity to push for a top-six spot as they welcome relegation contenders FC Koln. Winless in their past seven matches, Koln also hold the worst attacking record in the Bundesliga. With the odds skewed towards the home side, look for added value in the under as Augsburg are without leading scorer Ermedin Demirovic due to suspension.
Augsburg / Under 2.5 goals
VfB Stuttgart vs FC Heidenheim
Monday, April 1 – 2:30am AEDT – MHPArena
Undefeated in eight games and sitting seven points clear inside the top four, VfB Stuttgart just keep winning against the odds. They now welcome the 11th-placed FC Heidenheim, who have just one win from their past 10 matches. Top soccer bookmakers have Stuttgart as heavy favourites for this match, and given they have not conceded in their previous two games, there is value in backing them for another clean sheet.
Stuttgart to win to nil
VfL Bochum vs SV Darmstadt
Monday, April 1 – 4:30am AEDT – Vonovia Ruhrstadion
On the bottom of the table and almost certain to go down, SV Darmstadt head to Bochum this weekend with hopes of causing an unlikely upset. While the 15th-placed VfL Bochum haven’t been much better this season, a win here would give them a nine-point buffer on the relegation zone. A recent win over Bayern Munch has shown that Bochum have the quality, as they should be too strong at home.
Bochum to win
