The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Cronulla Sharks will be looking to snap losing streaks when they clash at Accor Stadium on Friday night in round 17 of the NRL Premiership.
The Sydney Roosters proved too good for the Bulldogs in Gosford last weekend, winning by 18 points and ending Canterbury’s three-game winning streak. The home side will be looking to get back to winning ways to avoid slipping out of the top eight on the NRL ladder.
The Sharks, meanwhile, will be eager to recover from their two-point loss to the Dolphins last weekend. Having slipped to third place after leading the competition until round 12, Cronulla need to rediscover some consistent winning form to get their quest for a second NRL Premiership back on track.
Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo will be without fullback Connor Tracey after a sickening hit from last weekend has ruled him out with concussion. Blake Taaffe has been named as his replacement, while Bronson Xerri has been confirmed to return from a hamstring injury in place of Drew Hutchison.
Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon has made just one change to his bench, replacing Braden Hamlin-Uele with Tuku Hau Tapuha. Teig Wilton has been out with a shoulder injury, but he is listed in the reserves and could be a late inclusion.
