Bulldogs v Raiders NRL match preview
Round 22 of the 2024 NRL Premiership season ends this Sunday with a sell-out clash between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Canberra Raiders at Belmore Sports Ground.
The Bulldogs are the feel-good story of the season. Following a slow start to the year, they have rocketed up the NRL ladder to sit in fifth position and have a live chance of climbing into the top four with a win here.
Similarly, the Raiders have had a solid season. After last week’s win over the Rabbitohs in Canberra, they are in ninth place. They’re now one win away from climbing into the top eight.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has named an unchanged lineup as the club seeks a third consecutive win.
After belting the Broncos in Brisbane last weekend, Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo has made several changes. Captain Stephen Crichton (neck) returns from injury in the centres, pushing Jacob Kiraz to the wing and Jeral Skelton back to the reserves. Josh Addo-Carr (hamstring) also returns in the back line, with Blake Wilson dropping out.

Bulldogs v Raiders betting strategy
The Raiders have won each of their last five clashes with the Bulldogs. However, Canterbury have won eight in a row at home, while they’ve covered the line in each of their last five games against Canberra. Backing the Bulldogs to win by 12 points or less returns a healthy $3 with top NRL bookmakers.
Bulldogs edge forward Jacob Preston loves playing at Belmore, as he has been the first tryscorer in each of his side’s last two matches here. Although in the midst of scoring drought, the $2.75 at Neds is a good price for Preston to find the in-goal area.
Raiders winger Xavier Savage is fresh off tries in consecutive games, while he has also scored in each of his two previous appearances against the Bulldogs. Expect his strong form to continue with another try this weekend at $2.15 with Australian betting sites.
