Canterbury Bulldogs v St George Dragons R12 preview
Indigenous Round kicks off at Accor Stadium on Thursday night for the 2024 NRL Premiership with a clash between two proud clubs steeped in history: the battling Canterbury Bulldogs and the surging St George Illawarra Dragons.
The Bulldogs have fallen to 11th on the NRL ladder after narrow losses to the Panthers and Raiders, and they risk falling into the bottom four with a defeat to the Dragons.
The Dragons have won three of their last five matches to lift themselves from 13th on the ladder to ninth, and a win against the Bulldogs would ensure a position in the top eight.
Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo has made one change, welcoming Jaeman Salmon (illness) back into the starting side, which pushes Josh Curran back to the bench and Poasa Faamausili to the reserves.
Dragons coach Shane Flanagan has also made one change, with Luciano Leilua (calf) returning via the interchange in place of Ben Murdoch-Masila.

Bulldogs v Dragons R12 predictions
The Bulldogs will be eager to make amends for their complacency in Magic Round as they look to secure their fifth win in as many games against the Dragons. In Canterbury’s last 11 games, the home side has won on each occasion, while the Dragons have failed to cover the line in their last eight away matches following a win. At $2.80 with Neds, there is great value for the Bulldogs to win by 1-12 points.
Accor Stadium is not the best ground for point-scoring, particularly as winter approaches and dew plays a greater role in ball-handling under lights. Further, 12 of the last 15 Dragons matches at this ground have finished below the total points line. Expect that trend to continue with less than 41.5 total points scored (-104.17).
With State of Origin around the corner, the recent form of Bulldogs winger Jacob Kiraz has been somewhat overlooked. However, the punters are aware of the three tries he’s scored in his last four matches. The +125 price with Dabble is a great offer for Kiraz to score at any time.
