Sunday’s NRL footy for round 12 kicks off in Brisbane with a Queensland derby between the Broncos and the Gold Coast Titans at Suncorp Stadium.
The Broncos secured a one-point win over the Sea Eagles in Magic Round thanks to a late field goal from backup halfback Jock Madden. The 2023 grand finalists now sit one spot outside the top four and need a win against their intrastate rivals if they are to ascend the NRL ladder.
Titans fans will argue the club was robbed of a win last weekend against the Knights when Brian Kelly was denied late in the match. There is every chance the visitors will require a win on Sunday to ensure they do not slip down to last place.
Broncos coach Kevin Walters will be without centre Kotoni Staggs (ribs); however, Reece Walsh returns from injury at fullback, with Selwyn Cobbo shifting back to the centres.
