Brisbane racegoer warned off
A punter who ran across the Eagle Farm track during a race has been warned off for two years.
At a delayed inquiry, the man pleaded guilty to entering the Eagle Farm track during the running of the last race on May 27.
Chief steward Allan Reardon said his panel found the incident constituted conduct prejudicial to the image and interests of racing.

“In assessing a penalty, stewards acknowledged his sincere apology but stewards were of the opinion that a significant penalty should be imposed as an appropriate deterrent,” Reardon said.
He said stewards and officials took a dim view of such actions as it was highly dangerous to jockeys, horses and the person involved.
The two years to will expire in July 2019 and the ban covers all racetracks in Australia.
