Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Sixers BBL13 preview
The BBL13 Qualifier will take place at Carrara Stadium on the Gold Coast, with the Brisbane Heat hosting the Sydney Sixers. Will the visitors be able to overcome the travel from Perth to the Coast and beat the Heat in their home state?
The Sydney Sixers managed to do in their last match what very few have been able to do over the last few years in the BBL and beat the Perth Scorchers on their home ground. However, the 2nd-best team in the competition will be without opener James Vince, who has departed for the ILT20 competition in the UAE. Ryan Hadley has been named in the squad as a local replacement, but Kurtis Patterson is expected to fill the gap at the top of the batting order.
The Brisbane Heat’s last match in the BBL was also against the Scorchers in Perth; however, the competition leaders suffered a whopping 35-run loss. The Heat will be expected to name an unchanged XI, having already lost Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne to the Australian Test squad, along with Colin Munro and Sam Billings to the ILT20.

Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades betting predictions
The Sixers have opened in the markets as $1.80 favourites to win the match off the back of their win over the Scorchers at Perth Stadium. However, the Heat have won two of their last five matches against the Sixers, with two of those matches being abandoned. Wet weather is predicted for the Gold Coast, which will assist Heat pace bowlers Michael Neser, Spencer Johnson, and Paul Walter to move the ball off the wicket. Having been the best team in the competition all season, the Heat are great value to win at +100 with top cricket betting sites.
Michael Neser’s form with the ball in hand has been brilliant leading into the business end of the season. In two of his last three matches alone, Neser has taken two wickets or more to lead the bowling attack. While Neser struggled to take wickets in his only completed match against the Sixers earlier this season, expect him to bounce back on Friday and take 2+ wickets at +160 with the leading Aussie bookies.
Daniel Hughes has played in two of the Sixers last three matches, having made way for Australian star Steve Smith in the Sydney Smash, where he has led the way on both occasions with bat in hand. In Match 28 against the Stars, Hughes anchored the run-chase and scored 41 runs from 32 balls in partnership with James Vince. Most recently, he opened the batting and blasted 74 runs from 43 balls, including two 6s and seven 4s, to lead the Sixers run-chase against the Scorchers. -138.89 at Playup for Hughes to score 25+ runs for the Sixers on Friday is a safe bet.
