Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades BBL13 preview
The final match of the BBL13 regular season will take place at the Sydney Showground Stadium, with the Thunder hosting the Melbourne Renegades.
The Sydney Thunder have lost five of their last six matches, with the sixth match ending as a ‘no result’ due to rain sitting at the bottom of the BBL13 ladder. Despite the addition of Australian opener David Warner to the side in their last two matches to go with new club recruits Cameron Bancroft and Alex Hales, the batters have struggled to find enough runs for the bowlers to defend. Wednesday will be a further opportunity for players like Ollie Davies and Tanveer Sangha to build on their careers and lead the home side into the future.
The Melbourne Renegades have only won one more game this season than the Thunder, their last match against the Renegades at Marvel Stadium to send out club superstar Aaron Finch a winner. Shaun Marsh will be playing his final BBL match on Wednesday after announcing his retirement from professional cricket. Throughout this, the visitors will be building for the future, having re-signed Jake Fraser-McGurk to a long-term deal to partner with future captain Will Sutherland.

Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades betting predictions
The Renegades have each of their last seven matches away from home in the BBL. Meanwhile, the Thunder have lost their only two matches at their home ground at Sydney Olympic Park. Given their recent win over the Stars in Melbourne and the addition of Akeal Hosein to the bowling line-up, the Renegades are deserved favourites to win this match at -125 with Neds.
Shaun Marsh has shown recently why he is one of, if not the, most consistent batters in recent history for the BBL. In his last ten innings, Marsh has scored 30+ runs every time he has taken to the crease. -129.87 is a great value bet for Marsh to score 25+ runs in his final BBL match with the leading bookmakers.
Thunder opener Hales has also shown a high level of consistency in the BBL, scoring 30+ runs in six of his last seven innings, including 72 runs from 55 balls with five 6s and four 4s in his last match at the Showgrounds against the Scorchers. Again, the -117.65 on offer with the top cricket betting sites is great value for Hales to score 25+ runs in his last innings of the BBL13 season.
