Sydney Thunder vs Perth Scorchers BBL13 preview
The Sydney Thunder are looking to keep their Big Bash League Season alive as they face the Perth Scorchers at Sydney Showground Stadium on Monday night.
With just one win from their six matches so far in BBL 13, the Sydney Thunder have been very disappointing and now need to win all four remaining matches if they are going to make the finals. After switching across in the off-season, opening batsman Cameron Bancroft will be looking for a win against his old side, building upon his excellent season so far. Playing just their second match at the Sydney Showground Stadium this season, the Thunder will be hoping they can use any home advantage.
The Perth Scorchers suffered their first loss of the season on Friday night as they went down to the Adelaide Strikers by nine wickets. With their first loss in ten matches, there is no cause for concern for the two-time defending champions. All-rounder Aaron Hardie has been excellent with the bat at number three, while the pace pairing of Lance Morris and Jason Behrendorff has taken plenty of wickets.

Sydney Thunder vs Perth Scorchers betting predictions
Despite the Scorchers being the most dominant side in BBL history, the Thunder have been the one side that has troubled them recently, winning eight of the past eleven matches between the sides. However, despite their excellent recent record, it is hard to see the Scorchers dropping consecutive matches. At -166.67 with Neds, back the favourites as they chase their third consecutive title.
A clear bright spot in a disappointing season, Thunder bowler Daniel Sams has been excellent at the death throughout the tournament. He leads the Big Bash with 11 wickets and will be incredibly important once again here. On a pitch that traditionally favours the bowlers, watch for his variations to disrupt the batsmen. We like him to continue his excellent wicket-taking form with 2+ wickets at +140 with top online bookmakers.
With 150 runs at an average of 50, Scorchers wicketkeeper Josh Inglis has been the anchor for the Scorchers so far this tournament. With his strike rate slightly down on previous seasons, Inglis has adapted his game to suit the situation, as proven by his two unbeaten scores in a chase. An inventive batsman, Inglis has the quality to score all around the ground, and we like him to score 30+ runs here at +125.
