BBL title odds: Scorchers fall, Renegades rise, Sixers favourites

T20 Big Bash League (BBL)

BBL title odds have shifted after the first 10 matches of the season, with the Sydney Sixers now favourites to win the 2024-25 Big Bash League trophy.

Pre-season, the Perth Scorchers were favourites to claim their sixth title ($4.50), while the Sixers were on the second line of betting ($5) across most Big Bash bookmakers.

Now, Perth have fallen to the third line of betting ($6), while Sydney have shortened to be the title favourites ($3.75) across most cricket bookies.

This move comes after the Scorchers lost two of their first three matches, while the Sixers are undefeated in their opening two games.

The Melbourne Renegades have also had their title odds improved, shortening from $10 pre-season to $6 now – the third line of betting at PlayUp.

Melbourne lost their opening match to the Sixers, but have since won two in a row, beating the Hobart Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers to go top of the table.

The Melbourne Stars, however, are all but out of the title race already, with odds of $26 to win the title in 2024-25 courtesy of their three consecutive losses to begin the season.

This comes as little surprise, as pre-season odds had them on the last line of outright betting at $10.
