Arrogate beaten in major upset

In a major upset, the world’s best racehorse Arrogate has finished out of the placings in the Group Two San Diego Stakes.

The only horse ranked higher than Winx, Arrogate went to the post as the short-priced favourite but was struggling a long way out in the race won by Accelerate at Del Mar.

Jockey Mike Smith appeared to ease up on Arrogate who finished a distant fourth.
