All Everest horses pass inspection

The 12 horses in the world’s richest race on turf have all passed inspection on the eve of the $10 million race.

Racing NSW stewards and veterinarians completed the final veterinary examinations and sampling of all runners on Friday.

All horses have been passed fit to take their places and and the routine analysis of samples, which is continuing to be conducted by the Australian Racing Forensic Laboratory, has detected no abnormalities.

Senior veterinarian Dr Craig Suann again inspected Godolphin’s Regimen and passed her fit for Saturday’s Listed Reginald Allen Quality after the filly had a slight skin infection.

The Gerald Ryan-trained Trapeze Artist was withdrawn on Thursday from the Sydney Stakes and as an emergency for the Everest when he was found to be lame after trackwork.

Ryan said on Friday the Golden Rose winner was responding to treatment and he expected him to continue towards the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on November 4.
