Richmond Tigers AFL

The Richmond Tigers are one of Australia’s most prominent football teams, boasting a deep supporter base and a proud history that includes 13 VFL/AFL premiership wins. The list of greats that have worn the yellow and black is a long one, featuring the likes of Jack Dyer, Jack Titus, Ian Stewart, Kevin Bartlett, Royce Hart, Kevin Sheedy and Dustin Martin.

After many years of mediocrity, The Tigers came roaring back to life with a trio of flags between 2017 and 2020. However, with few of their premiership stars still running around, the squad has now entered a rebuilding phase.

Can Adem Yze inspire the Tigers to an unlikely premiership win this year? Let’s take a look at the latest Richmond odds and betting insights for the 2025 AFL Premiership campaign.

Richmond players to watch in 2025

Josh Gibcus

Josh Gibcus

Born: 4/04/2003
Games: 20
Goals: 3
Position: Defender

Joh Gibcus played only two games in his comeback season, rupturing his ACL in March 2024. It was a heart-wrenching blow for the promising defender, who has managed only 20 AFL appearances after making his debut in 2022. Gibcus is not expected back on the field until April at the earliest, but Tigers fans will be hoping he picks up exactly where he left off before the injuries hit.

Jacob Hopper

Jacob Hopper

Born: 6/02/1997
Games: 142
Goals: 52
Position: Midfielder

Jacob Hopper moved down from GWS at the end of 2022 in pursuit of premiership glory, but things have not quite gone to plan for the big-bodied midfielder. Injuries have interrupted both of his seasons in the yellow and black, while the club’s on-field fortunes have nosedived in that time. A fit and firing Hopper could make Richmond a much tougher prospect than a lot of people are expecting them to be in 2025.

Tom Lynch

Tom Lynch

Born: 31/10/1992
Games: 220
Goals: 462
Position: Forward

After playing only a handful of games across the past two seasons, Tom Lynch will be determined to remind everyone that he is one of the AFL’s premier forwards. The former Sun has a huge reach and is hard to stop when he is on-song, and with so many of Richmond’s senior players retiring or leaving of late, Lynch’s experience and leadership could prove invaluable as well.
