AFL Rising Star 2025: Ashcroft tops wide-open betting market
Rising Star betting remains wide open after six weeks of the 2025 AFL season, with Brisbane’s Levi Ashcroft topping a stacked list of candidates.
The young Lion is paying $4 at BetOnline to deliver on preseason expectations, but there is not much separating the top few in the market.
Richmond’s Sam Lalor shares a $5 quote with Geelong bolter Connor O’Sullivan, while Fremantle’s Murphy Reid has shortened into $6 on the back of some standout spells early in his maiden AFL campaign.
There is some real value to be found outside the top four, especially from teams that are not expected to make an impact at the pointy end of the season.
Harvey Langford ($13) should enjoy plenty of midfield time in a transitioning Melbourne side, while Finn O’Sullivan ($21) looks like a regular starter across half-back for the Kangaroos.
Essendon’s rookie forwards Isaac Kako ($17) and Nate Caddy ($19) have yet to really hit their stride at senior level, but both have shown enough glimpses to suggest they are worth following.
