AFL JLT Pre-Season Week 4 multi tips for March 10-11 matches
THE final weekend of pre-season action is upon us, which means the real stuff is imminent.
Every team plays this weekend and will be looking to field their best sides ahead of the home and away season, meaning we will get the best round of action we have seen this pre-season.
We got torched last weekend by underperforming favourites, but given teams will be playing full strength line ups, we have a better opportunity to throw together a multi for the fourth round of JLT action.
All odds for the fourth week of the AFL pre-season competition were provided by Sportsbet.com.au, which is offering punters a fantastic deal for punters that are yet to sign up.
New customers can get their first bet at Sportsbet matched up to the value of $501.
Multi selections for the March 10-12 JLT pre-season series:
GWS Giants to beat North Melbourne Kangaroos ($1.20)
Fremantle Dockers to defeat Carlton Blues ($1.25)
Richmond Tigers to beat Collingwood Magpies ($1.80)
Adelaide Crows to win against the Brisbane Lions ($1.42)
Combined multi value: $3.83 @ Sportsbet.com.au
GWS Giants vs North Melbourne Kangaroos
Friday, March 10 from 5.50 pm AEDST Manuka Oval, Canberra
The Giants and the Kangaroos kick off the first leg of our multi, and it is a battle of the incumbent occupiers of Manuka against the original ‘second home’ team.
The Giants have been impressive in the pre-season. We can forgive last week’s narrow loss to the Swans given the treacherous conditions. The orange and charcoal look set for a massive year.
The Kangaroos are undefeated in the JLT series but we are not convinced they are the real deal. The last week of the pre-season may be the week they get exposed.
We are backing the Giants to kick off the multi in winning fashion.
GWS Giants to win – $1.55
Fremantle Dockers vs. Carlton Blues
Saturday, March 10 from 8.40 pm AEDST, Domain Stadium, Perth
The Dockers host the Blues in the second leg of our multi at Domain Stadium, and we are expecting another heavy Carlton loss.
The Navy Blues have been ordinary across the JLT Series. They look set for another bleak year and are the $4.25 second favourites for the wooden spoon at Sportsbet.com.au.
After getting hammered in their opening game against West Coast, Fremantle bounced back in style against Collingwood. The Dockers will again field a strong team in the final week of the pre-season and should be far too strong for the Blues.
Fremantle look to be one of the safer bets this weekend and we are happy to take them on.
Fremantle Dockers to win – $1.35
Richmond Tigers vs. Collingwood Magpies
Saturday, March 11 from 1.10 pm AEDST, Ted Summerton Recreational Reserve, Moe
Two of the AFL’s powerhouse clubs meet in the rural surrounds of Moe as the Tigers and the Magpies clash in the third leg of our multi.
Richmond could not have been more impressive this pre-season. They easily accounted for Adelaide in their opening match before taking care of the Power in South Australia.
The Magpies have split their results. They came back strong to beat Essendon in the opening week of the JLT Series before narrowly losing to the Dockers in the west.
The Tigers have looked magnificent in their two matches thus far and there is no reason to believe they will not continue that great form. We are backing Richmond to roll our multi into the final leg.
Richmond Tigers to win – $1.80
Adelaide Crows vs. Brisbane Lions
Saturday, March 11 from 4.40 pm AEDST, Hickinbotham Oval, Adelaide
The Crows and the Lions round out the pre-season multi on Saturday and we are backing the de facto home side to get the win at the South Adelaide venue.
The Crows were terrific last week in their victory over Geelong. Adelaide had a significantly weakened team. The South Australians should have a much stronger team to finish off the JLT Series which spells trouble for the Lions.
Brisbane recorded a stirring win over the reigning premier Bulldogs last weekend but that does not change the fact they have by far the weakest squad in the AFL. They are rightfully the $2.35 favourites to have the least amount of wins in 2017 at Sportsbet.com.au.
The Crows should bring us home in style.
