AFL Round 14 betting preview and free tips

The AFL bye rounds continue this weekend with seven exciting matches, kicking off on Thursday night with St Kilda vs the Western Bulldogs. Here are our top betting tips for every game of Round 14 of the 2025 AFL Premiership season.

St Kilda vs Western Bulldogs

Thursday, June 12 – 7:30pm AEST – Marvel Stadium

Coming off a disappointing loss to the Hawks last Thursday, the Bulldogs will be keen to re-establish themselves inside the top eight with a win against the Saints. The Dogs have won the last two meetings between the sides by over 10 goals, and with the return of star forward Sam Darcy, this could be a very one-sided affair.

Hawthorn vs Adelaide

Friday, June 13 – 7:40pm AEST – University of Tasmania Stadium

Despite entering in better form, the Crows are underdogs with top AFL bookies in this clash as they head to Tasmania, where the Hawks have won their last seven. Traditionally, matches at UTAS Stadium are low scoring; however, as two of the AFL’s top-scoring sides clash, this match should comfortably clear the unusually low line of 152.5 points.

Brisbane vs GWS Giants

Saturday, June 7 – 1:20pm AEST – Gabba

After throwing away a crucial opportunity in Adelaide last Friday, expect the Lions to return to winning form. While the Giants have a star-studded side on paper, recent losses to Port Adelaide, Fremantle and Sydney suggest they will struggle with one of the AFL’s toughest away trips.

Essendon vs Geelong

Saturday, June 14 – 4:15pm AEST – MCG

Coming in on a four-game win streak, the Cats are clear betting favourites for their clash with the Bombers on Saturday afternoon. Essendon have one of the longest injury lists in the AFL, and despite a pair of admirable losses, they should be no match for this finals-bound Geelong side.

North Melbourne vs Fremantle

Saturday, June 14 – 7:35pm AEST – Optus Stadium

Despite being listed as the home side, North Melbourne host Fremantle in Perth this Saturday night. Coming off their second win of the season, the Kangaroos should be full of confidence, particularly given the poor record of teams coming off the bye this season. While an upset may be farfetched, Roos forward Cam Zurhaar has kicked multiple goals in each of his last six games and offers excellent value at $2.55 to do it again.

Port Adelaide vs Melbourne

Sunday, June 15 – 2:50pm ACST – Adelaide Oval

Coming off a win over the Giants last Saturday, Port Adelaide will look to continue salvaging their season when they face Melbourne on Sunday. However, the Demons are a dangerous proposition, with their last month including wins over the Lions and Swans and a one-point loss to the Magpies on Monday. With both sides showing considerable inconsistency, there is some value in the $2.02 quote for the away side at Bet365.

West Coast vs Carlton

Sunday, June 15 – 4:10pm AEST – Optus Stadium

Despite a terrible start to the season, the Blues have an excellent chance to get back into the finals mix with a percentage-boosting win over the Eagles on Sunday. West Coast sit last with just one win all season and have lost their last five to the Blues by over 10 goals. The Blues demolished the Eagles in Gather Round, so don’t expect this clash to be very competitive.
