Adelaide Crows v GWS Giants Round 6 preview
The Crows will be looking to snap a two-game slide when they host an impressive GWS Giants outfit at Adelaide Oval on Easter Saturday in AFL Round 6.
Adelaide had no trouble finding the scoreboard against Geelong in Gather Round but were outplayed through the midfield, with Bailey Smith and Max Holmes racking up big numbers. If they want to have a chance this week, containing Tom Green will be a top priority.
The Crows sit inside the top eight and will be eager to solidify their position, while GWS are pushing to remain in the top four.
The Giants dominated large portions of last week’s clash with St Kilda, finishing with a convincing 28-point victory. With Green in elite form and star forwards Jesse Hogan and Toby Greene firing, GWS are emerging as a genuine threat this season.
Top AFL betting sites have Adelaide as narrow favourites, but the Giants have proved tough to beat in 2025 and should not be underestimated.
Crows v Giants R6 team news
Adelaide could be boosted by the return of Nick Murray (knee), while Josh Rachele will be out for another week as he recovers from a rib injury sustained against North Melbourne. They are also missing former GWS gun James Peatling, who has been handed a one-week suspension for a dangerous tackle.

The Giants are set to go in unchanged, with Stephen Coniglio (glute) and Brent Daniels (abdomen) both still unavailable. Emergencies from last week — including Xavier O’Halloran, James Leake, and Cody Angove — are once again in the mix and available for selection.
Adelaide v GWS predictions
This looks like a tight one on paper, but GWS have the midfield edge thanks to Tom Green, who has tallied 35 or more disposals ($3.20 at Picklebet) in two of his last five games. He’s also dominated the Crows before, recording 38 and 37 disposals in their last two meetings, so he is great value for another big day out.
For Adelaide, Darcy Fogarty is their most consistent forward target. He’s kicked three or more goals in four of his last five matches and looks a good play to hit that mark again at $2.45 with online bookmakers.
Meanwhile, Aaron Cadman found his rhythm for the Giants and slotted two goals last weekend. Back him at $2.35 with Neds to boot two or more again in what shapes as a lively contest.
