A Leauge round 12 betting predictions & free tips | 24-25 season
The jam-packed A-League festive schedule continues this weekend with six matches. Below are our top tips for every game of Round 12 of the 2024/25 A-League season.
Melbourne City vs Wellington Phoenix
Friday, 3 January – 5:00pm AEDT – AAMI Park
With three draws in their last three games, Melbourne City are one of the hardest teams to gauge in the A-League this season, which makes them hard to pick despite coming in as -133.33 favourites with top online bookies. Neither of these sides have kept a clean sheet in their last four games, so back this game to have plenty of scoring.
Over 3.5 goals
Brisbane Roar vs Central Coast Mariners
Friday, 3 January – 6:35pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium
In a clash between two of the most underachieving sides in the A-League this season, this match is the most unpredictable of the weekend. Brisbane sit winless in last place on the ladder, while the Mariners are winless in their last four. Both teams have terrible attacking records, so take this game to go under 2.5 goals at +100 with leading soccer betting sites.
Under 2.5 goals
Perth Glory vs Western United
Friday, 3 January – 6:45pm AWST – HBF Park
With just one win this season, Perth Glory look destined to finish at the bottom end of the ladder. On the other hand, Western United have been in excellent form, winning each of their last three, including two clean sheets. Perth have the worst attacking record in the league, so back Glory to go goalless for some extra value.
Western United win to nil
Newcastle Jets vs Sydney FC
Saturday, 4 January – 5:00pm AEDT – McDonald Jones Stadium
Coming off an excellent 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC have a chance to jump back into the finals spots against the 11th-placed Jets. Newcastle have won just one of their last six against the last-placed Perth Glory. Sydney FC have scored three goals in each of their last three games, so expect them to continue finding the back of the net.
Sydney FC over 2.5 goals
Melbourne Victory vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, 4 January – 7:35pm AEDT – AAMI Park
Despite having a strong start to the season, Melbourne Victory have now dropped down to fourth on the ladder after going winless in their last three. Facing the dangerous Wanderers, expect plenty of scoring, as the visitors have had over five total goals in each of their last three games. The past two meetings between these sides have both finished 4-3, so back the scoring trend to continue.
Over 4.5 goals
Macarthur FC vs Adelaide United
Monday, 6 January – 7:00pm AEDT – Campbelltown Sports Stadium
In another clash between high-scoring sides, this clash looks destined for a shootout. Adelaide have scored nine goals in the past three weeks, while Macarthur have the second-best attacking record in the A-League. With neither side holding an exemplary defensive record, expect plenty of goals.
Over 4.5 goals
