Wellington Phoenix vs Brisbane Roar
Thursday, February 6 – 5pm NZDT – Sky Stadium
Playing on New Zealand’s national day, Wellington Phoenix have a great chance to jump back into finals contention with a matchup against the last-placed Roar. Brisbane have just one win all season, while the Phoenix are undefeated in their last three games. Take the home side at the value price of $2.35 with top A-League bookies.
Wellington Phoenix to win
Adelaide United vs Melbourne City
Friday, February 7 – 7:35pm AEDT – Coopers Stadium
Coming off a devastating 4-1 loss to Sydney FC last Saturday, Adelaide United will be keen to get back into contention at the top of the A-League ladder. Melbourne City have lost their last two games, yet they have one of the most star-studded lineups in the competition. However, it still shouldn’t be enough for the visitors, who have been poor away from home this season and have not won in Adelaide since 2018.
Adelaide United to win
Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners
Friday, February 7 – 6:45pm AWST – HBF Park
With a goal difference of -28, Perth are the worst-performing team in the A-League; however, as they welcome the inconsistent Mariners, this is a tough match to pick. Central Coast sit ninth on the ladder, but they have accrued a league-high eight draws this season, including a 0-0 stalemate when these sides last met. Despite being in better form than the Glory, back the Mariners’ drawing form to continue.
Draw
Newcastle Jets vs Melbourne Victory
Saturday, February 8 – 5pm AEDT – McDonald Jones Stadium
Winners of their last two games, Melbourne Victory have turned their form around to jump back up to third on the A-League table. As they head on the road to face the struggling Jets, online bookmakers have Victory as clear favourites. However, the Jets have scored in each of their last nine games, so add both teams to score.
Melbourne Victory to win / Both teams to score
Sydney FC vs Western Sydney Wanderers
Saturday, February 8 – 7:35pm AEDT – Allianz Stadium
Sydney FC are looking to make it five straight wins against their local rivals in this derby clash. Coming off a 4-1 against the ladder-leading Adelaide United, the Sky Blues now hold the best attacking record in the A-League. The Wanderers lost 4-2 when these teams last met, and given their defence has still not improved, back Sydney to get the win in a high-scoring affair.
Sydney FC to win / Over 3.5 goals
Macarthur FC vs Western United
Sunday, February 9 – 5pm AEDT – Campbelltown Sports Stadium
With just one loss in their past nine games, Western United are the team to watch. On the road against Macarthur FC, anything could happen, given the home side have alternated wins and losses for the past six weeks. Western United have conceded two or more goals in four of their last five games, so expect there to be plenty of scoring in this clash.
Over 4.5 goals
