2025 Saudi Arabia Grand Prix betting tips & predictions
The 2025 Formula 1 season is well underway as we head to Saudi Arabia for the fifth round of the championship.
Set against the backdrop of the Red Sea, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit offers high-speed thrills and little margin for error. Free Practice 1 begins at 11:30pm AEST on Friday, April 18, while qualifying will be held at 3am Sunday morning. The main race is set for 3am AEST on Monday, April 21.
After three rounds, McLaren have firmly established themselves as the team to beat, with both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri already securing race wins this season. Heading into Jeddah, the teammates are separated by just three points following Piastri’s dominant performance in Bahrain.
Red Bull, meanwhile, are searching for answers following a difficult outing in Bahrain, while Mercedes continue to build momentum. Rookie Kimi Antonelli will be aiming for a strong bounce-back after a frustrating result last week, while teammate George Russell is steadily accumulating points with consistent performances.
Ferrari will be desperate to get Lewis Hamilton into form, while Charles Leclerc remains their best hope of keeping pace with the frontrunners.
The Jeddah layout often leads to safety cars, red flags, and wild restarts — which means punters should be ready for anything.

Jeddah GP 2025 betting predictions
Oscar Piastri (McLaren) to win
Coming off a dominant outing in Bahrain, Oscar Piastri carries all the momentum into Jeddah and is shaping up as the driver to beat. He looks far more at ease in the McLaren than his teammate, driving with precision and minimal errors. Expect another strong outing from the Australian.

George Russell (Mercedes) podium finish
Once again, online bookmakers appear to be undervaluing the quiet achiever of the season. George Russell finished on the podium in three of the first four races, consistently outperforming what’s expected from the current Mercedes package. Don’t be surprised to see the Brit back on the podium in Jeddah.

Pierre Gasly (Alpine) points finish
Alpine’s pace in Bahrain caught many by surprise, but don’t expect it to fade heading into Jeddah. Both cars showed strong performance throughout the weekend, with Pierre Gasly holding off several top teams for the majority of the race — a feat few predicted. He’ll be aiming to replicate that effort in Saudi Arabia and continue Alpine’s upward momentum.
