ALTHOUGH Chelsea have won five of their last six English Premier League games, their last couple of outings have left a little to be desired.
After a flukey finish from Willian gave them a share of the points at Liverpool, the Blues could muster only a single goal – a second-half header from Antonio Rudiger – against struggling Swansea City in midweek.
Antonio Conte kept a few notable names in reserve for that clash, however, with Eden Hazard, Victor Moses and defensive rock Cesar Azpilicueta lining up on the bench.
All three of those players will come into the reckoning for a starting berth when Newcastle United visit on Saturday.
The Toon have gone off the rails over the last four weeks, and it looked like they were headed for a fifth consecutive defeat on Wednesday morning when West Bromwich Albion took a 2-0 lead shortly after half-time.
But Rafa Benitez’s men struck back on the hour through Ciaran Clark before an own goal from West Brom’s Jonny Evans gave the Geordies their first premiership point since October.
Newcastle could have both Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu back from injury for the trip to London, while left-back Paul Dummett is also nearing a return after a lengthy layoff.

Chelsea’s big-money summer signing has delivered from day one and continues to do so week in, week out.
Goals are one thing, but the beauty of Morata is that he is always involved in the game.
Whereas some strikers are happy to sit on the shoulder and wait for chances to arrive, this guy goes out and finds them himself.
After two games without finding the score sheet, expect him to unleash on Newcastle’s fragile back-line.
Match prediction
Conte has been cautious with the Chelsea squad over the last week or so.
Against neither Liverpool nor Swansea did his best XI trot out, so it will be interesting to see what he serves up this weekend.
Hazard, at least, is a certain starter, and that alone might be enough to send the Geordies packing.
Benitez is renowned for his tactical nous, especially in defence, but the Newcastle back-line was an absolute atrocity in last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Watford.
They will have to flip the script altogether to have any hope of matching it with the defending champions.
Chelsea 3-0 correct score – $7 at Neds
