Adelaide come in with alarming momentum as they aim at another double over their crosstown rivals.
Dead and buried in the third quarter against Collingwood last Sunday, the Crows somehow closed a 50-point gap to snatch a draw with Mitch McGovern’s clutch mark and goal after the siren.

In many respects, those two points and the manner in which they were earned could prove more valuable than a comfortable win.
There is even more reason for optimism with the return of Brad Crouch and Jake Lever from injury layoffs.
Also in the extended squad is Eddie Betts, although the Showdown specialist remains in doubt after having his appendix removed last week.
“He’s returned to some running over the weekend and we’ll just build him up this week,” Adelaide coach Don Pyke told reporters on Thursday.
“I believe he [saw the surgeon on Tuesday or Wednesday], it will be more how he presents now and how he goes in terms of training.
“We’ll get through training this morning and assess them from there.”
Port Adelaide enjoyed an epic finish of their own last weekend.
More than a few Power supporters made a dash for the turnstiles as St Kilda took a 10-point advantage into the final two minutes of the match.
Those of little faith missed one of the plays of the season: a sensational tap from Paddy Ryder, matched by Robbie Gray’s beautiful rove and goal to win it on the buzzer.

That heart-stopping result keeps Port in touch with the top four as they look to end a four-game losing streak in the Showdown.
While Power coach Ken Hinkley said he was not bothered by past results, he expressed glowing admiration for the Crows after their incredible comeback at the MCG.
“There was some really scary stuff,” he told the press.
“A side that is down by 50 points be able to get back, you go ‘wow’.
“You know what is coming and you expect the best, that is the crucial part for us.
“Defensively this year we have been incredibly strong.
“We are going to get tested to the max this week.”
Port will miss hard-running backman Matthew Broadbent, who has carried an ankle complaint for much of the campaign.
Brendon Ah Chee, Dan Houston and Aidyn Johnson are all in line for a recall, while Angus Monfries is a chance to make his first senior appearance since 2015.

Adelaide Showdown match tip
First versus fifth.
Best attack versus best defence.
Two teams who hate each other with a passion, both riding high after huge comebacks.
Recent head-to-head results be damned – this is a doozy of a fixture.
We could make a strong case for either side, but this one comes down to a gut call.
Our innards are saying the Power will break their losing streak in a hard-fought classic.
