Thursday, January 25 from 7.40pm AEDT at the WACA, Perth.

WHAT a way to cap off the home and away BBL07 season.

First and second on the ladder will do battle to decide who finishes on top and gets to host a potential Grand Final.

Will it be the Perth Scorchers or Adelaide Strikers?

The two best teams of the season have been models of consistency, losing just two matches in the 10-game season.

The Scorchers are no strangers to the pointy end of the table and have continued a dynasty that has seen them make five grand finals and win three titles in the last six seasons.

The Strikers have never made a BBL Grand Final since their inception, having played in two finals campaigns since 2011.

Is this the year for the men from the city of churches?

A win against the Scorchers at the WACA would guarantee them a home semi final and, if they progressed, perhaps a re-match on home turf at Adelaide Oval on Sunday, February 4.

As you’d expect, both of these teams are in red-hot form.

The last time they met, in a match in Darwin, the Scorchers prevailed comfortably by six wickets after restricting the Strikers to just 112 runs. Perth will start favourite for this match, but we’re expecting a much tighter contest.

There’s a lot on the line for the winner.

To add some extra spice to the clash – it is the last home game the Perth Scorchers will play at the iconic WACA venue – with the new Optus Stadium to host its finals.

Colin Ingram odds and betting vs. Perth Scorchers

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing for South African import Colin Ingram at the Adelaide Strikers, but he may be finding his best form when it matters most.

In nine matches for the strikers, predominantly batting at third or fourth in the lineup, Ingram has scored three half centuries. The third and most impressive came on Monday night when he blasted 68 off 36 balls against the Melbourne Renegades, winning man of the match honours.

Ingram cleared the fence five times in his innings – many of which looked effortless.

Can he do it again against the most-imposing bowling lineup in the competition? Let’s take a look at his odds:

Colin Ingram odds vs. Scorchers:

We’re backing in the in-form batsmen to deliver again for the Strikers. Fresh off winning the man of the match award against the Renegades, he’s paying a healthy $9 to do it again. Batting at number four, he’ll get ample opportunity in the middle and we think the $3.75 for top run-scorer is real value.

Wicket-taker betting, Scorchers vs. Strikers

Perth Scorchers:

We’ve loved what Mitchell Johnson has been able to do at the WACA all summer for the Scorchers, but in the final match of the season, we’re backing in Ashton Agar to cause a little chaos.

The Strikers have not been the strongest side against spin and after dealing with Johnson and the formidable quicks, they may let their guard down and gift Agar a few scalps. He’s value at $4.33.

Adelaide Strikers:

A quick WACA wicket may just bring out the best in veteran opener Peter Siddle. Sids, who has been in consistent form for the Strikers, has been a great pick-up and will enjoy opening the bowling on this deck. Expect him to bowl his full complement of overs and cause some havoc, just like the old days.
